FAIRFAX — Vermont State Police reported that a motor vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of Route 128 and Route 104 on Sept. 23 at around 11:58 a.m., resulting in a hit-and-run violation.
The accused, Michael Carpenter, 57, from Essex, reportedly fled the scene following the crash.
His vehicle was found on a subsequent date, and after an investigation, authorities determined Carpenter was the driver involved in the incident.
Carpenter has been charged with Leaving the Scene of an Accident (LSA) and is scheduled to appear in Franklin County Superior Court on Dec. 9 at 8:30 a.m.
