Man arrested for domestic assault, DUI in readsboro

READSBORO — A 25-year-old Readsboro man was arrested early Saturday morning following a domestic disturbance and subsequent police pursuit that ended with charges of domestic assault and DUI.

Vermont State Police responded to a call at a residence on King Hill Road in Readsboro at approximately 1:15 a.m. on Oct. 19.

The involved parties reportedly left the scene and were heading towards Wilmington when law enforcement was notified.

With cooperation from the Wilmington and Dover Police Departments, state troopers located the parties and conducted an investigation.

They determined that Casey Pillsbury had assaulted his domestic partner, resulting in pain for the victim.

Pillsbury was arrested and transported to the Wilmington Police Department for processing.

He is facing charges of Domestic Assault and Driving Under the Influence (DUI).

Following his arrest, Pillsbury was released with conditions mandating his appearance at the Bennington County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on Oct. 21 at 12:30 p.m.
