Waterbury police arrest three in drug bust on West Main Street

WATERBURY — In response to a surge in drug activity complaints, a multi-agency task force conducted a raid on a local residence, resulting in the arrest of three individuals on Oct. 16.

The operation, which included members from the Waterbury Police Department’s VICE and Intelligence Unit, Gang Task Force, and the Connecticut State Police Violent Crimes Task Force, targeted a second-floor apartment at 450 West Main Street.

Roslynn Morris, 58, was charged with possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She was held on a $5,000 bond and arraigned on Oct. 17.

Morris, who has a record of larceny in Connecticut, was also wanted on an outstanding warrant for trespass and larceny.

Richard Valentin, 39, faces charges of possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia, and operating a drug factory.

Held on a $65,000 bond, he was arraigned the following day.

Valentin has previous convictions for firearm offenses in New York and Florida and was arrested earlier this year on similar charges at the same address.

Angel L. Valentin, 36, was charged with possession of narcotics with intent to sell, operating a drug factory, possession of drug paraphernalia, and tampering with evidence.

His bond was set at $75,000, and he too was arraigned on Oct. 17.

Angel Valentin has an extensive criminal history, including robbery and gang assault charges in New York.

Authorities seized $1,365 in U.S. currency, drug paraphernalia, and quantities of crack cocaine during the search.
