Holyoke man arrested with illegal firearm, large cocaine stash

HOLYOKE — Officers from the Holyoke Police Department, working alongside C.I.N.R.E.T, executed a search warrant on Oct. 16 at a residence located at 359 Walnut St. resulting in the arrest of 29-year-old Carlos Marrero.

During the search, law enforcement officials seized a large capacity firearm and a significant quantity of cocaine.

Marrero faces multiple charges, including possession with intent to distribute Class A drugs, trafficking Class B substances ranging from 36 to 100 grams, possession of a large capacity feeding device, possession of a firearm without an FID card, possession of ammunition without an FID card, and improper storage of a firearm.

The Holyoke Police Department expressed gratitude to their law enforcement partners for their collaborative effort in removing another illegal weapon from the community’s streets.
