GROTON — Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a skimming incident at local supermarket Big Y.
The Groton Police Department released a statement on Friday regarding an ongoing investigation into a skimming device that was found at the Big Y store.
The device is used to illegally capture credit and debit card information from unsuspecting shoppers.
Authorities have shared an image of the individual believed to be responsible for placing the skimming device.
Police are urging anyone with information about the suspect’s identity to come forward.
Officer Bartlett, badge number 165, is leading the investigation.
