SPRINGFIELD — A local woman was arrested by Springfield police officers on an outstanding in-state warrant during a routine patrol on Valley Street.
Suzanne Rostan was taken into custody at 5:45 p.m. on Oct. 2 after Officer Freeman, who was aware of the warrant, encountered her.
Officer Clark assisted in the arrest, which occurred without incident, according to a press release from the Springfield Police Department.
Rostan is scheduled to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on Oct. 3 to respond to the charge.
Following her arrest, she was lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.
As noted by the police department, decisions regarding bail and incarceration are determined by the judicial system, which includes judges, court clerks, and the state attorney’s office, not by the police.
