Two additional males at the scene were unharmed.

Investigators from the Old Orchard Beach Police Department, Maine State Police Detectives, and CSX Railroad Police are actively investigating the incident.

Preliminary findings suggest the men were on the train platform before the accident occurred and that alcohol may have been involved.

The incident temporarily disrupted local traffic, with Union Avenue, Atlantic Avenue, and Old Orchard Street blocked by the train.

The roads have since been reopened.

Authorities have not released the identities of the individuals involved as the investigation continues.

Deputy Chief David Hemingway is leading the ongoing inquiry.
