Worcester man arrested for break-in at Banner Bar and Grill

WORCESTER — Worcester Police officers arrested a local man on charges of breaking and entering and vandalism in connection with a commercial break-in at the Banner Bar and Grill on Green St.

On Oct. 12, at about 5:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to the establishment following a report of a past break.

Upon arrival, they discovered that the business had been forcefully entered and items were missing.

An investigation led authorities to develop probable cause against 30-year-old Rafael Perez-Crespi.

An arrest warrant was issued, charging him with Breaking and Entering at Nighttime for a Felony and Vandalism.

Perez-Crespi was apprehended on Oct. 15 by an officer who was patrolling near City Hall and recognized him.

He was taken into custody without incident based on the outstanding warrant.
