ALBURG — A St. Johnsbury woman discovered her camp’s pumphouse was burglarized, with equipment including a water pump, filter system and pressure tank stolen, Vermont State Police said Monday.

Shauna Clifford, 56, reported the break-in at her Pumphouse Lane property in Alburg on Oct. 12 at 9:31 a.m. after finding the water-related equipment had been cut out and removed.

Investigation revealed footage from a neighboring camp’s security system, which captured an individual with a flashlight near the property on Oct. 2 at approximately 9:04 p.m. The suspect’s description remains unclear from the video.

Shortly after, at 9:11 p.m., a dark-colored SUV, potentially a newer model Dodge Durango, was seen approaching and then leaving the property by 9:13 p.m.

The Vermont State Police have not identified a suspect and are asking the public for assistance.
