Rhode Island man arrested for meth possession after traffic stop

WEST WARWICK — A Rhode Island man was arrested early Thursday morning for possession of a controlled substance following a routine traffic stop, state police said.

John K. O’Grady, 44, of Hope, was taken into custody at 2:45 a.m. after troopers discovered less than 10 grams of methamphetamines in his vehicle on New London Turnpike.

O’Grady was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed.

He is being held pending arraignment and will also face proceedings as a probation violator.
