NEW HAVEN — A man suspected of trying to lure minors into his truck was taken into custody late Friday night, thanks to the vigilance of the community and coordinated efforts by local law enforcement.
The New Haven Police Department had earlier posted images of the man’s vehicle, alerting residents that he might be in the area targeting minors.
The public warning led to widespread sharing of the information and ultimately assisted in his arrest by West Haven officers.
Following his arrest, the suspect has been served with arrest warrants by both the Waterbury Police Department and the New Haven Police Department.
The charges against him are yet to be detailed.
The identity of the man and the specific charges filed have not been released pending further investigation.
