FERRISBURGH — A local contractor faces charges of home improvement fraud after failing to complete work he was paid for, Vermont State Police reported.

Michael Kenyon, 46, of Vergennes, was hired by Amy Moody, 58, to provide pool servicing through Valley Pool and Spa Service LLC.

Despite receiving upfront payment for several months of pool maintenance, Kenyon did not complete the agreed-upon work.

Over the course of several months, Moody made numerous attempts to reach Kenyon to have the work completed or to receive a refund for the services that were never rendered.

The contract between Kenyon and Moody was not honored, as Kenyon neither completed the work nor refunded the payments.

Following an investigation, Kenyon was cited to appear in Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on Dec. 30 at 12:30 p.m. to respond to the charge of home improvement fraud.
