WORCESTER — A Worcester man was arrested on charges of breaking and entering and vandalism after police responded to a call on Alvarado Ave on Oct. 13.
At approximately 8:45 p.m., Worcester Police officers were dispatched following a report of a past break.
Earlier in the day, residents had reported a male attempting to break into homes in the area.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers found an open door and a broken window at the residence.
Inside, they encountered 52-year-old Derek Ashley of Fairmont Ave, who had no legitimate reason to be in the property.
Ashley was arrested and charged with breaking and entering in the nighttime to commit a felony and vandalism.
