Rocky Hill police find missing 11-year-old girl with help from K-9 unit

ROCKY HILL — An 11-year-old girl reported missing earlier today has been found safe, thanks to the efforts of the East Hartford K-9 Unit and the collaboration of local law enforcement and the community.

Isabella Kachmar, who was last seen around 7:30 a.m. near Rachel Drive, was located by the K-9 team after a search involving multiple agencies.

She is described as being 4 feet 11 inches tall and weighing approximately 75 pounds.

Isabella was wearing black clothing and carrying a red backpack at the time of her disappearance.

The Rocky Hill Police Department acknowledged the community’s and all law enforcement partners’ critical support in successfully finding the missing juvenile.

Authorities had been combing the area with the assistance of K-9 teams from both East Hartford and New Britain Police Departments.

The department is now investigating the circumstances of the disappearance.
