PORTLAND — Police responded to reports of gunfire at a residential duplex late Sunday night, discovering multiple bullet holes and a ruptured gas line.
At 10:54 p.m. on Oct. 13, officers arrived at 12 Eleanor Street after receiving calls about shots fired in the area.
They found the front of the property damaged by gunfire, and a strong gas odor indicated a hit gas line.
The Portland Fire Department quickly secured the scene, shutting off the gas to prevent further risk.
Utility company Unitil was alerted to address the damage to their infrastructure.
As the investigation continues, Portland Police are calling for public assistance.
