PUTNEY — A Windham County man was arrested on a felony DUI charge after being found slumped over the steering wheel at a Putney boat launch, authorities said.
The Windham County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies, along with Putney Fire and Rescue, responded to a call at approximately 9:55 a.m. on Sept. 23 at the boat launch on Putney Landing Road.
Trampas W. Farrell, 54, of Westminster, was discovered in a red passenger car, under the influence of alcoholic beverages.
According to Deputy Richard Levesque, this incident marked Farrell’s third DUI offense, elevating the charge to a felony.
Farrell was taken to the Bellows Falls Police Department for processing.
He was subsequently flash cited to appear in the Windham Superior Court-Criminal Division on Sept. 24 at 12:30 p.m.
