Henniker traffic stop leads to drug arrest, vehicle seizure

HENNIKER — A routine traffic stop for a non-inspection violation on Bradford Road led to a drug arrest and vehicle seizure by the Henniker Police Department on Sept. 15.

Officer Cole Bannister initiated the stop and during the investigation, noticed a drug smoking device protruding from the driver’s pocket.

The device contained burnt narcotics, resulting in the driver’s arrest.

Police later obtained a search warrant for the vehicle, which revealed a powdered substance and crystal-like substance suspected to be controlled drugs.

The substances are currently undergoing analysis to confirm their nature.

The driver, whose name has not been released, faces charges including possession of a controlled drug with the intent to distribute and possession of a controlled drug.

The investigation is ongoing, and further details will be made available as the case progresses.
