Single-vehicle rollover crash in Cabot leaves Subaru totaled, driver missing

CABOT — A car was found totaled after a single-vehicle rollover crash on Whittier Hill Rd near the intersection of Smith Rd, Vermont State Police reported.

The incident occurred on Oct. 11, where authorities responded to the scene and discovered an unoccupied 2023 Subaru Outback.

Despite the dry gravel road conditions and cloudy weather, the vehicle had rolled over, sustaining severe damage.

The driver’s identity remains unknown as troopers at the site could not locate any occupants.

Whittier Hill Rd was temporarily closed to traffic as police conducted their investigation and crews worked on clearing the wreckage.

The Vermont State Police are actively seeking information to determine the circumstances of the crash and identify the missing driver.

Sgt. Tylor Rancourt of the Vermont State Police Berlin Barracks is requesting that anyone with knowledge about the incident come forward to assist with the ongoing investigation.
