NORTH KINGSTOWN — Two North Kingstown residents were taken into custody Monday afternoon on separate charges, according to Rhode Island State Police.
At 2:31 p.m., troopers arrested Erin Beckwith, 42, of 169 Hideaway Lane, for simple assault and disorderly conduct following a disturbance on Route 4.
Beckwith was arraigned at Kent County Hospital for probation and bail violations and is now in the custody of the Rhode Island Sheriff’s Department.
Later, at 4:05 p.m., Noel Roy, 26, of 154 Phenix Ave, was arrested on a Superior Court bench warrant for failing to appear at a pretrial conference.
The original charges against Roy were embezzlement and fraudulent conversion of over $100, stemming from a case handled by the Westerly Police Department.
The arrest occurred during a motor vehicle stop on Post Road.
Roy was processed at the Wickford Barracks and handed over to the Adult Correctional Institutions Women’s Intake Center.
