Pedestrian killed on F.E. Everett Turnpike in Nashua

NASHUA — A pedestrian died early this morning after being hit by a vehicle on the F.E. Everett Turnpike, according to New Hampshire State Police.

The incident occurred around 5:30 a.m. near mile marker 5.2 on the northbound side of the turnpike.

Initial reports to dispatch described a pedestrian on the roadway, followed shortly by notifications of the collision.

State Troopers, accompanied by Nashua Police Department officers, responded to the scene where they discovered an adult male pedestrian with fatal injuries.

The driver of the Ford F-150 involved in the incident stopped in the travel lane and cooperated with the authorities at the scene.

The northbound lanes were subsequently closed for several hours to allow for a thorough investigation of the crash.

Emergency personnel from Nashua Fire Rescue, along with New Hampshire Department of Transportation officials, were also present to assist.

While the crash is still being investigated, the identity of the deceased is not being released pending the notification of family members.
