ST. JOHNSBURY — A St. Johnsbury man was arrested after being spotted stumbling into a bush on Concord Avenue, the St. Johnsbury Police Department reported.

Authorities said Joshua Mason, 48, was taken into custody around 12:31 p.m. on Oct. 9 after officers responded to a dispatch call about a shirtless male with tattoos who had walked into a bush near 151 Concord Ave.

Police located Mason sitting on a hill near the reported location shortly after the call.

A Preliminary Breath Test administered by the officers yielded a result of .245, well above the legal limit for intoxication.

Mason was arrested for a violation of his conditions of release.

Due to his condition, police were unable to obtain a mug shot at the time of the arrest.

He was transported by CALEX for processing and is scheduled for arraignment at the Caledonia Superior Court on Oct. 14 at 12:30 p.m.

Mason was not lodged and no bail was set, pending his court appearance.
