FITCHBURG — The Fitchburg Police Department has issued a missing person alert for Michael P. Girouard, last seen by his family in August.

Girouard, born on Aug. 15, 1964, is described as a 5-foot-9-inch tall Caucasian male with a thin build, short “salt and pepper” colored hair, brown eyes, and a distinctive freckle under his left eye.
