PUTNAM — A pedestrian was struck by a pickup truck Tuesday afternoon while crossing a busy intersection in Putnam, police said.
The incident occurred at approximately 3:42 p.m. at the intersection of Kennedy Drive and Bridge Street.
Jennifer Dazy, 47, of Putnam, was hit by a 2016 Ford F-250 driven by Michael Mainville, 63, of Thompson, according to the Putnam Police Department.
Investigators determined that Mainville had a green light and was traveling northbound on Kennedy Drive when the collision occurred.
Dazy was reportedly crossing Kennedy Drive outside of the designated crosswalk at the time she was struck.
Putnam Emergency Medical Services transported Dazy to Day Kimball Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
