NORWALK — A 54-year-old Norwalk man was arrested Monday on charges of sexual assault and risk of injury to a child following a months-long investigation, police said.
Edgar Teque-Ramirez of 14 Southwind Dr. was taken into custody without incident by detectives from the Norwalk Police Department’s Special Victims Unit.
He faces charges of fourth-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor stemming from an alleged incident involving a child in 2021.
Authorities secured an arrest warrant based on probable cause developed during the investigation.
Teque-Ramirez is being held on $75,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
