South Portland police seek help identifying McDonald’s incident suspect

SOUTH PORTLAND — South Portland Police Department is reaching out to the community for assistance in identifying a person involved in an incident at a local McDonald’s on Sept. 30.

Authorities are urging “Facebook Detectives” to examine surveillance photos posted online, hoping someone might recognize the individual’s distinctive hat or other items of clothing, despite the perpetrator’s use of a disguise.

The department is also seeking information regarding a vehicle of interest depicted in the images, including the owner’s identity and the vehicle’s location.
