North Attleboro man arrested for Roxbury homicide

BOSTON — Boston Police Department Homicide Detectives arrested 27-year-old Widmaer Lapaix of North Attleboro on Tuesday in connection with a fatal shooting in Roxbury.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, when officers from District D-4 responded to a call at 17 Hammond Street.

Upon arrival, they discovered a victim with a gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and later pronounced dead.

Lapaix is charged with murder and is expected to be arraigned at Roxbury District Court.
