Man cited for theft, false info in South Hero

SOUTH HERO — Vermont State Police responded to a report of shoplifting at the Keeler Bay Variety Store at 500 US RT 2 on Oct. 7 at approximately 7:54 p.m.

Authorities say they received a call from the store about a theft incident.

Subsequent reports indicated there was suspicious activity from the same individual in the area.

Troopers located New York resident David Sahande, 24, near the scene in South Hero.

Upon investigation, police determined that Sahande had provided false information to law enforcement officers and had committed retail theft at the Keeler Bay Variety Store.

Sahande was issued a citation to appear in Grand Isle County Superior Court to face charges for the alleged offenses.
