CONCORD — Police responded to reports of gunfire at Rollins Park late Monday evening, locating several individuals and executing search warrants in the vicinity.
At about 8:45 p.m. on Oct. 7, Concord Police officers were dispatched following multiple reports from residents of gunshots near the park.
Although the subjects involved had fled before authorities arrived, a thorough investigation allowed officers to identify and locate all parties involved.
One individual was wounded and is currently receiving care at Concord Hospital for a non-life-threatening injury sustained from the incident.
Authorities believe this was an isolated event and stress that there is no immediate threat to the public.
The investigation into the circumstances of the shooting continues.
The Concord Police Department urges anyone with information, or video from the Rollins Park area at the time of the shooting, to come forward to assist with the ongoing investigation.
