PROVIDENCE — Rhode Island State Troopers arrested a Warwick man following a hit and run accident on Route 95, officials said.
At 2:22 p.m., Troopers from the Lincoln Woods Barracks took 55-year-old James Silvia of 1120 Main Avenue into custody.
Silvia faces charges including Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – B.A.C Unknown – 1st Offense, Refusal to Submit a Chemical Test, and Failure to Stop for Accident Resulting in Damage to Vehicle.
The arrest occurred after an investigation into a hit and run accident in Providence.
Following the incident, Silvia was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed.
A Justice of the Peace arraigned Silvia, who was then released into the custody of a responsible adult.
