HOLLIS — A Nashua woman was arrested Sunday after attempting to steal items from Brookdale Fruit Farm, according to the Hollis Police Department.
Officers responded to the farm on Broad Street around 1:15 p.m. following a report of a theft in progress.
Store employees reported that Melinda Morgan, 39, had left the store with several unpaid items, placing them in her vehicle and attempting to leave the premises.
Morgan was stopped by employees and detained until police arrived.
Upon investigation, officers observed multiple perishable goods in Morgan’s vehicle, identified as products from the farm.
After confirming that Morgan had not paid for any of the items, she was arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Property and Theft, both misdemeanors.
Morgan was processed at the Hollis Police Department and released on personal recognizance bail.
She is scheduled for arraignment at the 9th Circuit Court, Nashua District.
Chief of Police Brendan LaFlamme authorized the release of information regarding the incident, with MPO Kyle Connors available for contact.
