YORK — Emergency services were called to a fire at a residential address in York late Thursday night, with officials now probing the cause of the blaze.
The York Police Department alongside the Maine State Fire Marshal’s Office are conducting a comprehensive investigation following a fire at 2 Forest Hill Lane on Oct. 3 at 11:34 p.m. Responders were quickly on site, and the fire was successfully contained.
While the investigation into the cause of the fire continues, preliminary reports assure there is no immediate danger to the community.
Authorities have secured the area and confirm there is no ongoing risk to neighboring homes or businesses.
The police have encouraged the public to come forward with any information that may assist in the investigation.
