Rutland Town woman faces DUI #2, drug charges after traffic stop

RUTLAND — A local woman was arrested on multiple charges including driving under the influence of drugs and possession of methamphetamine following a traffic stop on Oct. 3.

Vermont State Police troopers stopped a vehicle on US 4 in Rutland Town at around 1:47 p.m. for a traffic violation.

The driver, Tanya Brace, 34, of Rutland, displayed signs of impairment and drug use during the interaction, according to authorities.

After obtaining consent to search Brace’s vehicle, troopers discovered suspected methamphetamine.

Brace underwent Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI.

Further investigation revealed that Brace was driving with a criminally suspended license.

She was processed at the Rutland Barracks and issued a citation to appear in Rutland Criminal Court on charges of DUI #2 (drug), criminal driving with a suspended license (DLS), and possession of methamphetamine.
