Concord woman cited for simple assault following altercation

ST. JOHNSBURY — Following a lengthy investigation, a Concord woman has been cited for her involvement in a physical altercation that occurred last month, the St. Johnsbury Police Department reported.

Tabitha Bragdon, 40, is facing charges of simple assault-mutual affray stemming from an incident on Aug. 17.

Details of the assault were not immediately released, but authorities indicated that the aftermath of the event prompted further investigation.

Detective Sgt. Lester Cleary, who handled the case, said that after reviewing the evidence, police charged Bragdon in connection with the altercation.

She has been summoned to appear before the Caledonia Superior Court on Nov. 4 at 8:30 a.m.

The court has confirmed that action is scheduled, and Bragdon will be required to answer to the assault charge.
