DEDHAM — In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, Dedham Police, with assistance from multiple local law enforcement agencies, arrested two individuals yesterday following the execution of several search warrants.
The operation, which concluded a months-long narcotics investigation initiated by the Norwood and Dedham Police Departments, also included officers from the Canton, Dover, Medway, Needham, Sharon, Walpole, Wellesley, and Wrentham Police Departments, as well as the Norfolk County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities seized 6 grams of cocaine, 57 grams of crack cocaine, and over 87 grams of fentanyl.
The haul included drug processing supplies, over $10,000 in cash, and a vehicle believed to be used in the narcotics distribution network.
The charges currently being sought against the individuals include possession with intent to distribute cocaine, trafficking fentanyl, trafficking crack cocaine, providing false information following an arrest, document fraud, and operating without a license.
The investigation and subsequent arrests have dealt a blow to local drug trafficking operations.
Further details on the suspects and court proceedings are pending.
