Suspect arrested in Dorchester stabbing, victim in stable condition

BOSTON — A 73-year-old Cambridge man was arrested late Tuesday night in connection with a stabbing in Dorchester that left a 57-year-old man hospitalized.

At about 7:34 p.m. on Tuesday, officers from the Boston Police Department assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a call reporting a stabbing at 895 Blue Hill Ave.

Upon arrival, they found the victim suffering from non-life-threatening stab wounds.

He was promptly transported to a local hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.

The suspect, identified as Christopher Tennin, turned himself in to the police later that evening at around 11:45 p.m. Tennin is expected to face charges of aggravated assault and battery with a weapon, specifically a knife, according to authorities.

Tennin’s arraignment is scheduled to take place in Dorchester District Court.

The investigation into the incident remains ongoing as officials continue to gather details surrounding the circumstances of the stabbing.
