POLAND — A single-vehicle rollover crash claimed the life of a Poland man this afternoon, according to the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies, along with Poland Fire & Rescue, were dispatched at 3:54 p.m. to Summit Springs Road where they discovered a black 2006 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck involved in a crash.
The preliminary investigation suggested the vehicle, driven by 27-year-old Joseph Pelletier of Minot, was navigating a curve on Summit Springs Road toward White Oak Hill Road when it lost control and rolled over.
Pelletier, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
The sheriff’s office has withheld further details regarding the incident to allow time for family and friends to be notified.
The investigation into the crash remains ongoing, with an update expected to be released tomorrow.
The vehicle is registered to Pelletier, the sheriff’s office confirmed.
