NEW BEDFORD — Detectives from the New Bedford Police Department have arrested an 18-year-old man following a drug raid in the city’s north end, seizing drugs, firearms, and cash.
On Saturday, Sept. 28, the department’s narcotics unit concluded their investigation into a suspected cocaine distribution operation at 305 Earle Street.
A search warrant was executed, targeting Matthew O’Brien, who was identified as the main suspect.
During the search, officers discovered and seized a plastic bag containing 28.5 grams of crack cocaine, 17 tabs of oxycodone, 12 partial tabs of Adderall, and a plastic zip bag of marijuana weighing 63.1 grams.

The raid also uncovered two firearms, including a Glock 48 9mm and a Sig Sauer P365 with a defaced serial number, along with ammunition.
