Shots fired in Nashua neighborhood leads to arrest

NASHUA — A 67-year-old man was arrested Friday night after allegedly firing multiple gunshots outside his residence in Nashua, police said.

Michael Casey of Trinity Drive faces a charge of reckless conduct, a Class B felony, following the incident that occurred at 7:40 p.m. on Sept. 27.

Officers responded to reports of an intoxicated and disorderly male discharging a firearm outside his home.

Neighbors and other occupants of Casey’s residence reported hearing multiple gunshots before Casey returned inside.

Police said Casey cooperated with officers at the scene and was safely detained without further incident.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division interviewed several witnesses who heard the gunshots and observed the incident.

Multiple firearms were located and seized during the investigation.

Casey is being held on preventative detention pending his arraignment at the 9th Circuit District Division – Nashua Court at 1 p.m. on Sept. 30.
