Providence man arrested for possession of cocaine, counterfeit notes

PROVIDENCE — A Rhode Island State Police motor vehicle stop led to the arrest of Eliezer Inostrosa, 36, of Providence, on charges including possession of a controlled substance and counterfeit bills.

Troopers from the Lincoln Woods Barracks conducted the stop on Bucklin Street at 9:45 a.m. Inostrosa is accused of carrying less than 10 grams of cocaine and possessing counterfeit certificates, bills, or notes.

Following the arrest, he was processed at the barracks and then taken to the Adult Correctional Institution Men’s Intake Center as a probation violator.

In a separate incident at 2:47 p.m., troopers arrested Larissa Martins, 34, also of Providence, after a motor vehicle accident on Route 95 North at Broadway Avenue.

Martins faces charges of domestic disorderly conduct, domestic vandalism, and reckless driving.

She was arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released with a scheduled court date at the Sixth Division District Court.

Early this morning, at 3:00 a.m., Anthony Pisani, 30, of Woonsocket, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Branch Avenue.

Pisani had an outstanding Superior Court bench warrant for failing to appear for a restitution review related to a second-offense shoplifting charge.

He was processed at the barracks and transported to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Center.

Additionally, at 4:20 a.m., Owen McGilvray, 18, of Bellingham, Massachusetts, was arrested for driving under the influence and refusing a chemical test after troopers responded to an accident on Route 95.

McGilvray was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned, and released to a responsible adult.
