Westminster man faces aggravated assault charges

WESTMINSTER — A Westminster man was arrested Saturday evening on charges of second-degree aggravated domestic assault and criminal threatening, according to Vermont State Police.

At approximately 5 p.m., police responded to a 911 call reporting a family fight at a residence on Piggery Road.

The investigation revealed that Robert A. Lawrence, 42, had physically assaulted another household member.

Lawrence was taken into custody and processed at the Westminster State Police Barracks.

He is currently being held without bail at the Southern State Correctional Facility.

Lawrence is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division, on Monday at 12:30 p.m. to answer to the charges.
