BOSTON — A man was arrested Friday in connection with an armed robbery that occurred earlier this week in Roxbury, according to the Boston Police Department.

Members of the Youth Violence Strike Force along with officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) and E-13 (Jamaica Plain) apprehended Jonathan Lopez, 27, from Jamaica Plain, around 12:15 p.m. near 195 Heath Street.

Lopez was wanted on a warrant from Dorchester District Court for charges including armed robbery, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, and two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

The arrest stems from an incident on Sept. 24, when police responded to a robbery report around 9:42 p.m. at 5 Greenheys Street.

The victim was allegedly confronted by a group of males, one of whom brandished a firearm.

The suspects made off with the victim’s belongings, including a fanny pack, phone, and watch.

Lopez is scheduled for arraignment at Dorchester District Court.
