Ossipee police seek help finding missing woman with dementia

OSSIPEE — The Ossipee Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 66-year-old woman, Carol Gemmiti, who suffers from dementia.

Gemmiti was last seen near her home at 48 Bay Point Road on Sept. 27 at about 11 a.m. She is described as being 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing approximately 120 pounds, with white hair and hazel eyes.

At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing gray sweatpants and a sweater.

Family members are concerned for her well-being due to her medical condition and are urging anyone with information regarding her whereabouts to come forward.

Authorities are asking anyone who has seen Gemmiti or has knowledge of her location to immediately call 911 or reach out to the Ossipee Police Department through the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office at (603) 539-2284.

The police and Gemmiti’s family are hoping for a swift and safe return and appreciate the community’s help in this urgent matter.
