Search underway for missing 74-year-old Craftsbury man

CRAFTSBURY — Vermont State Police launched a search for Richard Morrison, 74, of Craftsbury, who was reported missing on the evening of Sept. 27.

Valerie Morrison notified authorities that her husband had not been seen since the late afternoon of Sept. 25 at their Craftsbury residence.

Investigators believe Morrison left his home sometime between that evening and 5 p.m. on Sept. 26.

Despite initial search efforts, Morrison remains unlocated.

Morrison is described as being on foot, last seen wearing boots, gray pants, and an unknown type of shirt.

A photograph of Morrison has been circulated in the community and online to aid in his identification.

The Vermont State Police are asking anyone with information on Morrison’s whereabouts or those who may have seen him since his disappearance to contact the Derby barracks at 334-8881.

The ongoing investigation is focused on areas around Vermont Route 14, where Morrison was believed to have been traveling by foot.
