FORT KENT — Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying an individual who started a fire in a dumpster behind the Home Solutions building, with flames reaching 7 to 10 feet high, posing a severe risk to nearby structures.
The Fort Kent Police Department released a statement requesting assistance to identify the person or anyone who may possess a scooter similar to the one seen in a provided image, despite acknowledging the poor quality of the photograph.
The incident occurred recently when the unidentified suspect apparently set fire to the dumpster.
Fort Kent Fire and Rescue responded swiftly to the scene and extinguished the blaze before it could spread and cause significant damage to the surrounding buildings.
