South Windsor police make multiple arrests on larceny, failure to appear charges

SOUTH WINDSOR — The South Windsor Police Department reported a series of arrests this week, including individuals charged with larceny and failure to appear in court.

On Sept. 24, at 11:35 a.m., police arrested Steven X. Rivera, 31, of Vernon, on an active arrest warrant related to a theft incident at the Apple Store on Evergreen Way in May.

Rivera, who allegedly stole a pair of headphones, surrendered himself at police headquarters.

He was processed and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond, with a court appearance scheduled for Oct. 9 at 9 a.m. at Manchester Superior Court.

Later the same day, at 12:24 p.m., Josue A.

Medina, 34, of Waterbury, was arrested on charges of stealing over $500 worth of merchandise from Target on Buckland Hills Drive, also in May.

Medina was processed and presented at Manchester Superior Court as he was already in custody on charges from other jurisdictions.

In a separate incident, on Sept. 25 at 7 a.m., Deaisha T. Suite, 28, of Windsor, was arrested for failing to appear in court.

Suite turned herself in at police headquarters and was processed and released on a $20,000 surety bond.

She is also scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Oct. 9 at 9 a.m.

Public Information Officer Sergeant Mark Cleverdon provided the details of the arrests.
