Providence man faces multiple charges including reckless driving, forgery

PROVIDENCE — Rhode Island State Troopers arrested a man from Providence on a slew of charges following an investigation and subsequent location of the suspect at his residence.

At 11:13 a.m., Troopers took Stephano Black, 32, of 37 West Friendship Street, into custody.

Black is charged with multiple offenses, including three counts of Reckless Driving/Eluding, Forgery and Counterfeiting in General, Domestic Disorderly Conduct, Domestic – Malicious Injury/Damage to Property, two counts of Obstructing an Officer in the Execution of Duty, and Driving with a Suspended/Cancelled/Revoked License on a fourth subsequent offense.

Additionally, Black faces charges for Forgery and Counterfeiting of Registration Plates, Giving False Document to an Agency/Public Official, and has multiple bench warrants for Failure to Appear in court related to previous charges of Driving with a Suspended License and Driving Without Consent of Owner, originating from East Greenwich Police Department, State Police Wickford Barracks, and Providence Police Department.

After being processed at the State Police – Lincoln Woods Barracks, Black was transported to Sixth Division District Court for arraignment and recognized as a bail and probation violator.
