WAREHAM — Officers from the Wareham Police Department have arrested a man in connection with a series of break-ins to motor vehicles in the Onset area of the town, authorities said Tuesday.

The Patrol Division began investigating the incidents after they occurred on Sept. 24.

During their inquiry, officers obtained surveillance footage in an effort to identify the suspect involved in the break-ins and thefts.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division took over the case and eventually located a male suspect in the Onset Center area.

The man matched the description of the individual seen in the surveillance videos.

Police identified the suspect as Kristopher Foley, 36, of Beverly.

Foley was found in possession of a backpack containing items reported stolen from the recent vehicle break-ins.

He was arrested without incident.

In addition to the charges related to the Onset break-ins, Foley was found to have two outstanding arrest warrants issued by the Lynn District Court for similar offenses.

Foley faces charges of trespassing, breaking and entering a motor vehicle at nighttime, and receiving stolen property under $1,200.

He was arraigned at Wareham District Court following his arrest.

Chief Walter Correia of the Wareham Police Department highlighted the successful collaboration between the Patrol Division and the Criminal Investigations Division that led to the swift apprehension of the suspect.
