NASHUA — A local man was arrested on felony stalking charges following a police investigation into allegations of domestic violence and violating a protective order, authorities said Monday.
Jayson Tucker, 26, of Nashua, was taken into custody on Sept. 23 after Nashua Police Department officers executed a felony warrant for two counts of Stalking-Domestic Violence; subsequent, a Class B Felony, and two counts of Violation of a Protective Order, a Class A Misdemeanor.
The arrest stems from a Nov. 23 incident where patrol officers responded to a domestic violence-related call at a residence.
The adult female victim reported Tucker had contacted her by phone and message, breaching the terms of a final domestic violence protective order.
Further investigation revealed Tucker’s prior stalking conviction, elevating the new charges to felony level.
An arrest warrant was subsequently obtained.
Tucker was initially arrested in Massachusetts on Sept. 19 on a Fugitive from Justice Charge and held at the Bristol County House of Correction in North Dartmouth, MA.
Nashua Police Department later took him into custody to face the outstanding arrest warrant.
Ineligible for bail, Tucker was arraigned at the 9th Circuit-District Division-Nashua Court on Sept. 24 at 1 p.m. The Nashua Police Department urges anyone with additional information on the case to contact the Nashua Police Department Crime Line at 603-589-1665.
