WOONSOCKET — In a series of coordinated operations on Sept. 24, law enforcement agencies across Rhode Island made multiple arrests related to drug trafficking, possession of child pornography, and firearm violations.
David Durand, 31, of Woonsocket, was arrested by the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force for possession of child pornography.
Durand was taken to the Lincoln Barracks for processing and appeared in Sixth District Court for arraignment.
Associate Judge Isherwood set bail at $2,500 with conditions that restrict Internet access and prohibit unsupervised contact with minors.
On the same day, the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force, along with Massachusetts State Police, apprehended Christian Charro, 27, of Cumberland, on various charges including the delivery of controlled substances such as fentanyl, cocaine, and crack cocaine, as well as multiple firearm offenses.
Charro, who had outstanding warrants and was a fugitive from justice, was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and is being held without bail pending transfer to the Adult Correctional Institutions Intake Service Center.
Aislyn Bertone, 26, also of Woonsocket, was arrested by the same task force for delivering controlled substances and conspiracy to violate controlled substance laws.
Bertone was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and arraigned at the Sixth Division District Court.
Additionally, Kenneth Laflamme, 46, of North Providence, was taken into custody by the Intelligence Unit on charges related to the possession with intent to distribute various controlled substances, including marijuana and cocaine, as well as multiple counts of firearm possession by a person prohibited and during a controlled substance violation.
Laflamme was processed at State Police Headquarters and arraigned in Sixth Division District Court.
