RUTLAND — A three-vehicle collision occurred on Main Street at the intersection of Gilmore Street on Sept. 23 at approximately 2:53 p.m., involving local residents and resulting in substantial vehicle damage, though no injuries were reported.

Vermont State Police – Rutland Barracks responded to the scene where they found that Sheri Terounzo, 52, of West Rutland, was driving a 2009 Honda Civic eastbound when she crashed into the back of a 1997 Chevrolet S-10 operated by Dan Kearney, 82, of Proctor.

The impact pushed Kearney’s truck into the rear of a 2021 Jeep Cherokee driven by Marlene Macmurray, 76, of Clarendon.

According to the police report, Terounzo was not paying attention when she hit Kearney’s vehicle.

Despite the severity of the collision, all drivers were wearing seat belts and no injuries were reported.
